Who is Wind & Throttle?

I began my journey with motorcycles as a die hard passenger. Regardless of the weather or time of day, I wanted to ride. Though I spent too many years on the back, in 2011 I finally grabbed the handlebars myself. From then on, my obsession could not be contained. Out on the road, any or no destination ahead, gripping the handlebars, twisting the throttle and feeling the wind rush past. It’s that feeling that I live for: the freedom of the road, the excitement of adventure, traveling for the sake of traveling, discovering the unknown, exploring the world and connecting with others.

Why We Do...

Scouring motorcycle websites, I found countless options…for men. Gear for women was scarce and often included footnotes of manufacturers boasting about how they understand a woman’s body is different. What does that even mean?!? Those are the sites where female riders have a quarter of the options of male riders and many of those options are riddled with pink embroidery or are designed with only sex appeal in mind.

What We Do

Instead, the best women’s motorcycle gear comes from companies that know what women want: protection, comfort and style. Wind & Throttle collaborates with riders, designers and companies to create what you need for every ride.

With a background in small business, I know how important it is to shop small and support the people that work hard for what they believe in. And if my time running a women’s clothing boutique has taught me anything, it’s that we want to be comfortable, and if we can look damn good while doing it, even better. As more women’s gear emerges, we can expand our options, wear what fits us best and ride wherever the wind & throttle takes us!
