I live in Texas and this jacket is a must for staying protected while in this Texas heat. I saw someone online mention the color was more of a burnt orange than red so I was a bit worried that it would look orange but it definitely looks like a deep red, to me. I get Deadpool vibes from this jacket and it's awesome.
I love the straps that tighten on the waist and arms. And I also worked with support to upgrade the armor to level 2. It's very comfortable. I did get caught in the rain the other day (it was hot when I left the house and I didn't know it was going to rain) so I definitely got soaked in this jacket. So maybe just check the weather before you ride, or just be ok with being very wet if you get caught in the rain wearing this. But at least I was nice and cool by that point. lol
If you want something breathable where you can feel the wind but still be protected in case of a fall/slide, this is definitely the jacket. I have not slid in this, but I have fallen twice with this on and the jacket is perfect. With the back protector in, I think it makes me look a little weird because it's so thick, but it definitely still feels comfortable and breathable, so I don't mind.

I’m so thrilled with this jacket!!! I had trouble deciding on a jacket and also determining the right fit, and the staff were so extremely helpful, patient and kind - I will definitely be a returning customer. Midwestern swamp summer is here and I gear up fully for 35 mph rides around town. I was very impressed on the first very hot day at how well-ventilated this jacket is, and with how well the armor stays put. The cinches on the sleeves are nice for that. It’s a motorcycle jacket…the fit is a little funny off the bike and just right when you’re on it, reaching for the bars. This time it’s not just that my arms are short!
One thing I’ll say about the measurements though—measure around your hip bones too. That’s where the bottom of the jacket hits on me. It appears to flare out in the photo, but now I assume that’s with the cinches pulled in, because it’s actually cut pretty straight. If the circumference around your hip bones is much more pronounced than your waist, it may be snug at the bottom even if you measured your waist carefully for a fit recommendation. I did, and I still had to exchange to size up one to get the bottom hem right. my motogirl leggings were a dead on fit, so it’s not necess about the brand running small and for that I give it a “true to size.” this review is the caveat—factor in your supple properties
